Teaching children to get excited about science at an early age is a generous and beautiful gift. Most classrooms struggle to implement science-based activities in their classroom, but if you remember that all science is exploration, it becomes quite simple. Children like to explore their environment, and if you let children do just that, you are teaching them to be scientists.
Activities that improve scientific and technological development helps children to observe their materials and environment, to classify different materials and objects, to experiment and predict and to draw conclusions from these experiments and predictions, and to communicate their ideas and thoughts.
Materials for the classroom: magnifying glass, goggles, plastic beakers, food coloring, sensory bin, tweezers, funnels, empty containers, play toolbox with hammers, screwdrivers, and wrenches, rulers, yardsticks, flowers, fish tanks, turkey baster
