Approaches to Learning
"Approaches to learning refers to how children go about acquiring knowledge and skills" (Post, Hohmann, and Epstein 32).
Everyone knows this old saying: "Give a man a fish and he will be full for a day. Teach him how to fish, and he will be full his whole life." A teacher who fosters a child's curiosity and independence will teach that child to be a lifelong students, and students who take the initiative in their education will become successes. Activities that focuses on a child's approach to learning will help that child learn how to solve problems and self-direct.
